Fashionistas, friends and celebrities packed Earl’s Court Two in London on Wednesday 9 June for the GFW Gala Show – the highlight of the 4-day event. They were there to sample the work of this year’s foremost fashion graduates representing colleges and universities across the UK.
The revolutionary technology of Microsoft Surface was launched to the fashion industry recently.
Lifeline IT, a Microsoft Certified partner, unveiled the innovative Surface to some 30,000 fashion and retail industry visitors at Graduate Fashion Week Fashion (GFW) in London (6-9 June 2010). Microsoft Surface is currently only being used in the UK by selected museums and banks, so its presence at GFW was a major coup for Microsoft.
Graduate Fashion Week is the largest exhibition of its kind, showcasing the best graduate fashion design talent in the UK.
The event, whose lead sponsor is River Island, attracts media, students, fashion scouts and major brands from the UK and overseas and has launched the careers of such brilliant British designers as Stella McCartney, Julien Macdonald, Antonio Beradi, Hussein Chalayan and Owen Gaster. It has also seen graduates placed with many prestigious brands including Donna Karan, Gucci, Levi Strauss, Calvin Klein and Reebok.
