REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2020: THE YEAR THAT BROKE, BUT LIFELINE FIXED

Published: 30 December 2020

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other. As it draws to a close, we thought we’d end on a positive with our review of the year.

We share some of Lifeline IT’s achievements that have helped keep our clients, connected and safe in the new virtual world.

Breaking Records

We dealt with a record 19,703 cases in 2020. Not surprisingly, March was our busiest month, with over 2,500 cases. Most of these related to home working issues, as whole offices de-camped to living rooms, bedrooms and kitchen tables.

There’s also been a huge growth in the use of instant messaging and communications tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and we quickly moved the majority of our clients to these platforms at the start of the pandemic.

Safe As Houses

Security has been a concern with the move to home working. One of our main focuses throughout this year has been security training to ensure clients are as safe online at home as they would be in the office. We’re delighted that a large number of our clients are Cyber Essentials Certified or are in the process of gaining this accreditation, which is the UK government’s standard certification for IT security practices.

The Highs

Adaptability and being able to deliver what our clients need at speed is something we’re proud of. We’ve always been an agile business and hopefully this year we’ve proved we can rally to the cause!

The work of our engineers, who have gone above and beyond, has been a real high. And the support of our partners – especially our accountant, Grant Harrod Lerman Davis, our design agency, Viridian, and our PR agency, Justine Rawlins PR – has been fantastic.

Although Covid put a dampener on what was the start of a promising year, we have still taken on new business, which has exceeded our expectations.

The Lows

Managing a remote work force has been challenging, but we adapted quickly – although we are looking forward to being back together as a team in the office.

And Finally…

We’d like to say a HUGE thank to our clients for their unwavering support throughout the most challenging of times and we wish you all a Happy New Year.

This uses the new tabs module, so we can style it however we want using our built in design controls!Pretty nifty eh?
And of course you can add images or whatever you want here too.Tabs are nothing new, but tabs that display inside your mega menu are pretty awesome 🙂
