This website (lifelineit.net) is run by Lifeline IT Solutions Ltd. We want everyone to be able to use our website, so we’re committed to making it accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

1. Our Commitment

Inclusivity: We believe that everyone should have equal access to information and functionality online.
Continuous Improvement: We are committed to an ongoing process of improving our website’s accessibility. We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time project but an evolving effort.
Adherence to Standards: We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 at Level AA, but aspire to WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. While we strive for these levels, we acknowledge that full compliance in every aspect is an ongoing effort.

- Working towards sufficient colour contrast ratios.
- Providing clear and consistent navigation throughout the website.

Providing alternative text descriptions for meaningful images.
Offering captions or transcripts for multimedia content where feasible.
Using clear and concise language.
Structuring content with headings for readability and navigation.

Testing:

Conducting regular internal reviews and manual testing using various assistive technologies and browser extensions.
Utilizing automated accessibility checking tools.

Training:

Providing accessibility training for our content creators, developers, and designers.

3. Known Limitations and Non-Compliant Content

We acknowledge that despite our best efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. This includes:

The keyboard navigation on the Team page’s slider needs improvement by adding a focus outline to the thumbnail images, and they have no focus state. However, an improvement has already been made: the thumbnails change opacity when tabbing over them.
There are instances where elements aren’t presented to be read in the correct order, because of their order in the HTML. An example is on the About Us page. We are looking to solve this by changing the HTML and their order with CSS.
On the Blog page, some screen readers announce links for each blog three times – for the heading, read more and image. To remove two of these we are investigating a custom PHP or JavaScript solution.

We are actively working to address these issues and prioritize their resolution. We will update this statement as improvements are made.
