Lifeline IT Gives Input into Government Regulatory Workshops
Published: 4 December 2025
Ensuring IT regulation is fit for purpose was the theme of Lifeline IT’s contribution to a recent government business event.
Lifeline IT’s Daniel was an attendee at the Department of Business and Trade’s ‘Regulation Roadshow’, where he focused on cyber security policies and how these can impact businesses, especially SMEs which make up a large proportion of GDP.
“We also discussed how there needs to be recognition of the different challenges for the SME sector to compliance frameworks, as a ‘one size fits all’ approach is not suitable in the real world, especially when 99% of companies are classed as small businesses with less than 50 employees.”
In addition to being involved in the regulatory events, Lifeline IT also this month sponsored the Peterborough Business Awards. The event, attended by more than 300 companies and their employees from the city and surrounding region, was to celebrate business achievements in areas such as customer service, innovation and sustainability.
Said Adam: “Although Lifeline IT was founded more than two decades ago, our Peterborough office is relatively new, having opened only four years ago. Being involved with the Peterborough Business Awards was a great opportunity to find out more about the business profile of the region and meet other companies and organisations, many of whom are deeply rooted in the area.”
