Cyber Resilience Key to Tackling Cybercrime
Published: 22 October 2026
Lifeline IT was among the UK organisations represented at the ONE Conference – Europe’s leading cybersecurity event for business, science and government.
For the second year running, Daniel was an attendee at the event, which aims to inspire cross-border cooperation between cybersecurity professionals from organisations across Europe.
Throughout the two-day event, Daniel was involved in discussions and roundtable sessions with leading figures in the cybersecurity and risk management community learning about the most current and relevant threats to businesses.
Attended by more than 2,300 delegates, the ONE Conference also focused on changing governance and legal frameworks in Europe and the UK, with a particular focus on resilience and how organisations can protect themselves.
Daniel joined the event as part of the UK delegation of the British Embassy in The Hague.
He said: “From Lifeline IT’s perspective, it was invaluable to hear from the best minds in cybersecurity about what the risks are for organisations and how things have changed since last year’s conference. We heard from authorities working worldwide, including Europol’s Joint Cybercrime Action Task, who know exactly what is happening in the evolving cyber threat landscape. We also learnt about the importance of resilience and the pro-active measures being taken against cyber criminals and how these help disrupt threat actors.”
Daniel explained how some of the key learnings from the event will be used by Lifeline IT to help clients strengthen their security.
He explained: “Whilst SMEs continue to be targeted from all areas, they are also uniquely placed to adapt quickly and take steps to harden their systems and this was an important takeaway from the event. With home and remote working now commonplace, our training and recommended systems will increasingly focus on mitigating risks from less secure networks, which often lack the advanced security protections that an office environment provides and are also shared with other household members and less secure devices.”
