Lifeline IT provides IT Support and advice to many different businesses. We work often on mission-critical systems with large enterprise-level organisations and smaller enterprises with perhaps just a handful of PCs, especially in the Accountancy, Retail and Property sectors. We’re an independent, privately-owned company.
Our objective is simple: to help our clients make the most of modern technology by providing the best possible IT solutions whatever their size or budget. We’ve developed a distinct approach to achieve this. It’s tried and tested. It’s what has made us successful.
We begin by finding out about our clients – what they do and how they use IT. What are their ambitions? Are there any current concerns? Before changing anything, we document and log everything about their IT systems.
Our service is a combination of regular on-site visits and remote support.
We believe in working face-to-face with clients at their premises. This regular contact helps to continually increase our understanding of our client’s business. Clients find it useful to have us on hand too. It’s a highly effective way of delivering IT support. To us it’s not a last resort, if all else fails. It’s a key part of the overall service we provide to all clients.
On-site visits range from once a month to full-time desk side support. The level is tailored to the client’s requirements.
Remote support is also part of the overall service. We do lots of things remotely. Not just fixing issues. We also have state-of-the-art monitoring, constantly checking how clients’ systems are running. Often this enables us to act before they break down, preventing problems from occurring in the first place.
There are three strands to what we deliver:
• Ongoing Maintenance
• Troubleshooting / fixing things that have broken
• Strategy / IT direction.
Crucial to the delivery is the Lifeline IT team of managers, engineers and other support staff.
Lifeline IT was founded by current owners Daniel Mitchell and Adam Woolf. Together they have over 20 years’ experience implementing IT systems. Both remain hands-on and lead a skilled and tenacious team of staff.
All Lifeline IT engineers are highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable about IT. Training is key, both formal and informal. We also have a system whereby information is actively shared among the engineers.
Due to the importance we place on face-to-face contact with clients, we value communication skills highly, not just IT expertise. When recruiting, we look for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, especially those in technical roles. They must be able to talk to customers clearly, without using IT jargon.

Director & Founder
After an extensive background in service businesses, including ten years in the catering sector running a number of well known London clubs and bars, Adam joined the IT industry in 1998 and went on to found Lifeline IT in 2001.
As Managing Director, he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Company. Adam’s commercial and management experience and his total attention to customer service bring much to supporting the needs of our clients.
Over the last twelve years, Adam has built up extensive knowledge of software licensing and comprehensive hardware experience, particularly complex server systems.
Director & Founder
Originally working in accountancy practices, Daniel began his involvement in IT while working with specialist accounting software in 1993. He founded Dam IT Consultants in 1996 providing network support and business consultancy services. Dam IT merged with Lifeline IT in 2002.
Daniel focuses on new business, project management and consultancy. This involves acquiring in-depth knowledge of clients’ operations and for several he works with them on an ongoing basis to develop and implement new systems, software and workflows. Getting to know his clients’ businesses really well is a key part of the process.
Daniel has a special interest in Global Cyber Security and is a member of the Industrial Liaison Group for the faculty of computing at London Metropolitan University. Head of Support
Jacob has been in the I.T. industry since 1998 having studied in the UK and the USA. His experience includes I.T. tuition as well as in-house and external support.
Jacob has worked with Lifeline IT since November 2006, and before being appointed as our Head of Support was an engineer providing on-site management for some of our larger clients. Outgoing and a great communicator, his friendly helpful approach makes him a welcome visitor to our clients’ offices.
With more than 30 years’ experience in residential and commercial property development, Jeremy is well-respected in the industry.
For many years he has provided advice on an informal basis to Lifeline IT. In December 2006, the arrangement was formalised with Jeremy joining the Company as Non-Executive Director. His input is focussed on financial and planning matters, as well as sharing knowledge of the property sector.
Pat has an outstanding track record in iconic multi-channel retail brands, including as Managing Director of The White Company until 2012 and as CEO for ILLUM, Jaeger & Viyella. In November 2016 she was appointed to our board as a non-executive director. Over the previous year, she worked very closely as an advisor to the directors and leadership team. Our relationship with Pat has expanded progressively and we are delighted to have formalised it with her recent appointment.
Pat has been helping to develop the services Lifeline IT offers to the retail sector. More broadly, she has been advising on the structure of the business and people development.
