We’re delighted to announce that we’ve strengthened our expertise with the addition of one of the UK’s leading cyber security specialists.

Throughout her extensive career, she has led forensic cyber investigations and breach remediation programmes, delivered global technology solutions, developed risk strategies for transformative programmes and advised on the financial impact of cyber incidents.

Cheryl said: “I’m excited and humbled to be joining Lifeline IT, whom I’ve known for over ten years. Cheryl’s appointment comes at a time when there is even greater focus on cyber security, and businesses are looking to strengthen their defences further.

She explained: “One of the things I would encourage business owners to think about is the impact of recent high-profile cyber attacks, such as Marks & Spencer, and the ramifications to their business and operations. As people return from summer holidays, now is a great time to review and update compliance requirements, to ensure that business operations are resilient for themselves, their staff and their customers.”

She added: “As a minimum all organisations should have Cyber Essentials, the government-backed certification scheme. There is also the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), which helps organisations improve their cyber resilience. This has recently been updated due to the growing threat of cyber attacks, so it’s worth familiarising yourself with these changes and what they mean for your business.”
