As 2024 draws to a close, we take a look back at some of the year’s highlights.

From office moves and expanding the team, through to growth in Europe and the role of AI, it’s been a busy year for Lifeline IT.

Peterborough Expansion
Our Peterborough office has gone from strength to strength since we opened in 2021. This summer we moved to a new city centre location that’s four times larger than the previous office, and have expanded the team to six staff.

Amsterdam Growth
We have been steadily growing our Amsterdam office, handling work in sectors including asset management, finance and professional services. As part of developing our business network, Daniel was this month invited by the UK’s Dutch Ambassador to give a presentation about Lifeline IT and its work in the Netherlands. The prestigious event was organised by the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) and attended by leading business figures. 2025 is going to be a key year for our growth into Europe, as we continue to build our connections in the region.

Launch of Dedicated Helpdesk Engineers
In May we launched dedicated helpdesk engineers, with each client being assigned their own personal engineer to deal with issues that are logged to the helpdesk. This followed research that revealed 97% of clients said it was important for them to have a personal relationship with their IT provider.
Growing the Team
We’ve expanded our overall head count to 33, with five new starters coming on board in the last quarter of the year. As our staff are our biggest asset, we’ve ensured that we’ve recruited the most customer savvy people who also have the right level of technical ability.

Using AI in an Intelligent Way
AI has exploded onto the business scene but many companies are still nervous about its use – in our IT Trends Survey, more than two-thirds of those questioned said they do not use AI applications, with 27% saying it was because they worry it may be seen as dishonest. Here at Lifeline IT we’re developing AI tools that will help improve how we resolve cases, whilst also being mindful of the security and data implications of artificial intelligence. Look out for more on this in the new year.
