One of the hidden costs of travel that has crept up in recent years is mobile phone charges.

Whilst some providers include European usage within standard packages, global travel outside of Europe is usually excluded and means daily roaming fees can soon add up.

On average, 1GB of data usually costs just under £3, whereas unlimited is over £20 and can be more than £25 for destinations such as the USA.
